I hope your training and New Year goals are moving along at a steady pace. After a few months without any competitions, it’s time to start racing again. Next month, the Oregon City Tankers will be hosting their annual Spring Ahead dual-sanction swim meet March 10-11, 2018. This is a great opportunity for you to post some fast short-course meter times and get ready for our OMS Association Championship April 20-22, 2018, in Corvallis.
Our annual Association Championship is right around the corner, and meet director Christina Fox has been working hard to put on a great event. We are also looking for officials. If you have a friend or family member who is a certified Official, please contact Jacki Allender. Don’t forget to sign up for our Annual OMS meeting, awards, and social with appetizers, light fajita bar, and a no-host bar after the meet on Saturday, Apr 21st, at the Historic Old School from 5:00-8:00 pm. Cost is $15 per person (swimmer or guest). Don’t miss this opportunity to socialize with your teammates and meet your OMS board members and other Masters swimmers outside of the pool.
If you would like to write an article for the Aqua Master newsletter, the editor is always looking for writers. If you enjoy writing and have an article you would like to submit, please contact Alice Zabudsky. Alice has done an amazing job creating our monthly newsletter. Make sure you thank her the next time you see her on deck.
Swimmingly,
Tim Waud/OMS Chair
